I ordered some rasps.. and I am not to sure how to plant these stalks.They are bare root.. I am suppose to get them this week... which seems a little early.
I am usually not a fruit gardener so any advice would be great!!

my husband and i just moved onto a farm and we have a raspberry bed. i was wondering about fertilizing them. i have two year old cow poop and dehydrated horse poop. which would be best for the raspberry's also same question for high bush blueberry's

As far as I know they are suppose to both be good if you mix it with the soil.. I would use the 2 yr old cow Poo first myself .. As I know that it has composted long enough. BTW where is buckland?

I planted rasberries a few years back. just tilled a spot about 4 ft diameter stuck 1 plant in the ground and after 2 years they were coming up all over where the soil was loose. I used peat moss to keep the soil loose.For some reason my dog liked the stalks and mowed the whole thing down good luck I had all the relatives coming over to pick some

Raspberries and blueberries both like acid soil, especially blueberries, so I use Holly-tone and cottonseed meal to fertilize them.

do you know you can use vinegar for the acid soil ? Cheaper.

Mix it in a gallon of water. Not sure of the formula.......I have to hunt it .

plant the raspberrys only as deep as the root .

Keep water on it.

Remember to plant your raspberries in an area that you won't mind them spreading. I have an area 10' X 40' that I run my tiller through to make a path so I can get to the center. They actually grow like weeds. Cow manure, sun and water.
