I love baking and gardening and so I came up with this recipe and I ended up winning Grand Champion at our Rice county fair this last year. I called
them "Bugs And Dirt Garden Cookies"

2 cups butter flavored Crisco
4 eggs slightly beaten
2 cups white sugar
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 tsp soda
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp lemon juice
1/4th tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
3+ tablespoons dry instant vanilla pudding
2 cups white flour
2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
4 cups quick rolled outs
2 cups crushed oreo cookies
1/4th cup flax seed

Roll into large 2 inch balls and bake on ungreased cookie sheets.I bake only untill just lightly starting to brown on edges.I bought a new terra cotta large flower pot and serve my cookies in that with a little rafia wrapped around the pot.
You can also sprinkle extra dirt[the oreos] and bugs[the flax seed, also very good for you] around on the bottom saucer under the pot and whala! You will definetly make an impression at your next garden party or Pumpkin Wine Party laugh Hope you guys enjoy these. They are very good for you and are moist and hearty luv

Well I've never halved the recipe but that should be easy enough. It does make a big batch but I like to make reeeaaallllllly large cookies, bigger maybe than the 2 inch balls so then its not too big of a batch. And I'm sorry I forgot to write the baking temp, I usually bake between 325 and 350 watching to not brown too much. One more thing I did for the contest is rolled the dough balls in some extra dirt and bugs before baking. You want them to look plenty dirty and the dough is real stiff so you just press it all so it sticks then bake. I made 3 batches one week to get the recipe just right and could'nt even think about looking at another one for quite a while, but now as I think about it,,I think its time again for me to make another batch.
