Well I guess we'll find out.....it's honestly the grossest looking thing.......

I should start selling them to the pet stores......I think I paid 1.50 for each of mine.

loz - I really hope your eggs make it in the water.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but on the website, applesnail.net, under the "care" section, it says...

"It's important to keep the eggs in a moist, but not wet environment. Never keep these eggs under water (this will drown the embryos)! "

I really hope that at least a few make it for you.
My fingers are crossed!

I guess it just depends on how deep your pond is, whether they make it or not..... Duh I'm not sure...we are redoing our pond in the fall to make it at least 3 feet deep so we can overwinter the fish in it.

Loz:

It's funny to know how much you learn here eh?! I honestly thought they (snails) laid their eggs under a plant or something too! Well good luck them them... I'm pretty sure they might die... But if not, here's to selling them for $2 each at Wal Mart! muggs (Afterall, you can claim the extra .50 cents on Emotional Distress!) laugh

I'm not sure....I made a boo-boo and knocked it off by accident....I was putting water in the pond and hit it and the water pushed it off the plant. I guess when we drain the pond in the fall we'll see what happens.
