Hi,
My mother's magnolia tree's leaves are turning yellow and dropping. She is in south Texas and the day time temperatures are rising into the 90's now.

She successfully grew a magnolia at her previous house. Now that she's in the new house she planted a new magnolia and is having this problem.

Can anyone say what the may be causing this? Could she be over or under watering? Or maybe it needs fertilizer?

Thank you,
Zelinda wavey

Southern Magnolias are hardy to zone 9, but extreme south Texas is getting awfully close to zone 10. Maybe it's too hot for it???
