My friend told me her mom uses left over boiling water for corn to water her plants as a kind of added fertilizer. (Unsalted and cooled, of course.) I've done it a few times with no ill effects, but I'm not sure if it's actually any good or not. Has anyone heard of doing this? Do you think it would be effective with other vegetables? Any info or insight would be appreciated.

I can't claim knowledge of it's nutrient content but I use vegetable and grey water to water indoor and outdoor plants. Water conservation is always a good idea! flw
