Hi.... wavey
Our trumpet vine bloomed so wonderfully this year and after it blooms it gets these long pods.
Are these seeds that we can plant?
I saw some little vines coming up this am near the base of the vine.
Does anyone prune there vines after the first frost? wavey

Hi Greg ~

Those long pods have TONS of seeds in them!
Wait til the pods turn brown and dry,
and then you can split them open.
I've never tried growing them, but have saved many.

It took 5 years for each of my trumpet vines to finally have any flowers, so I do not prune them back. I was also wanting it to grow up and over the roof of my shed, which it has now accomplished after many years. My husband does prune back the front parts, as they hang down over the doors to the shed, and they don't seem to mind it and flower each year now.

Hope that helps, Lynne
