1 chicken boiled and de-boned or 3-4chicken breasts cut into 1 inch cubes

4 smoked sausage links cut into small cubes

1 white onion chopped

1 green pepper chopped

2-3 carrots chopped

2 cups frozen baby lima beans

2 cups rice

1 Bay leaf crushed

the following are to taste:
rosemary
thyme
chili powder
garlic
sage
oregano
cumin
salt
pepper

Add all ingredients to a large pot, cover with water or chicken broth and boil until rice is done and carrots are tender. Enjoy!
I also add either Tabasco or Yucatan Sunshine hot sauce to mine for a little added flavor!

This sounds good to me, Tonya, but 'um, is the name of the recipe Chicken BOG (as posted) or Chicken BAG?

I'm not so sure about the hot sauce additions, but I think it would suit us just great a bit more plainly done.

There are 1,000's of chicken/sausage one pot recipes out there and most that I have tried have been really good, so I am looking forward to trying this.

Thanks for posting it.

In NC and SC they call it Chicken Bog. I also put a sprinkle of ground mustard in the last batch I made. ( for leftovers I added a can of tomatoes and heated in a skillet...YUM!)
