Yes there is such a thing as a perennial sweetpea.
We even have them as road side
weeds up here...
They are very tenacious, but I think beautiful
flowers.
They come in dark pink and a light pink...
They can grow just about anywheres, except water.
The
flowers to pick are absolutely scrumptous.
So nice for a little bouquet!!!
Yes, they do re~emerge from the clump that they grow from and they do re~
seed.
The
plants that reseed, will probably be more hardy than the actual
plant it'self....
I'd try doing the wee~one's early in
spring and you may have more luck. And if for some reason the
plant isn't happy there, you still have your original momma
plant where she is and happy to make some more
seeds and new babies for another trial spot next year.

P/S Get yourself some "Old Fashioned" annual sweet peas too, if you really like sweet peas you will not be disappointed you grew those, Awesome colors and what a sweet~sweet smell...
