I planted a cutting of Confederate rose Hibiscus in the ground almost three years ago. It has grown beautifully getting 3 ft. tall and almost as wide , but still no flowers. Anyone know why?

I don't know. I have grown some hibiscus from seed and was told it would take a year for them to bloom (they are 12-18" tall now. I would sugest maybe getting some bloom fertilizer and see if you can't help it along. But as to why... I don't know.

I'm a year behind you...
but they have a saying about hydrangea cuttings grown.
1st they sit
2nd they creep
3rd BAM they grow!
My gardenia cuttings did the same.in its 2nd yr and getting some shape to them now.

My 1 CR cutting is still small only about 9 inches, but am going to move it to a 3 gallon pot this fall .
Good Luck

Thanks Tracie and Njoynit, guess I'll just have to be more patient - maybe next year!
