Francine,

wavey

May I ask a couple of questions? Was the cucumber green prior to turning yellow? Cucumbers should be picked before they reach a stage when they turn yellow.

If the cucumber had not yet reached the stage when it should be picked (when they are 4-6 inches long, which is after about 50-60 days usually), then it may have to do with your soil. Do you know if your soil has a high clay content?

Hi,

my cuke was about 4 inches long, maybe 6.

i don t know the clay content,it s in a big rubermade tray-maybe lets say 30 x 12 inches- and in top soil mixed with a bit of sh. manure,i ve had some cukes from it before but it s the first time it does that.

thank you very much and have a good night.
