OP Muskrat Member M Joined: Feb 2003 germany	My garden is steep and sometimes very treacherous. There were steps, it seems, long ago, made with pieces of wood jammed into the dirt, but most of them are long ago rotten or covered over from erosion. We are thinking of just leveling/smoothing it out and putting some kind of heavy foot traffic friendly ground cover. Does anyone have any experience with such things or know of a good ground cover? Any advise is gratefully accepted! Muskrat

ROMAN CHAMOMILE (Chamaemelum nobile) Quote Roman Chamomile is a perennial ground cover less than 9 inches tall. Both chamomile varieties have downy stems, feathery leaves and daisy - like flowers with yellow centers and white petals. Roman Chamomile is often used as a ground cover on garden paths. Walking on it releases chamomile's lovely apple fragrance and it is actually good for the plant.
