I am wondering about creeping charlies. I have had one for two years now and it is starting to die. do they have a life span?

Is this the house plant you're asking about?

Swedish Ivy, Swedish Begonia, Creeping Charlie (Plectranthus verticillatus)

I used to have one of these..
They root at each node where the leaf/stem
comes out of the long stem...

They root in water too I thought!!!
