i have a huge rubber tree that is hitting the ceiling in my house, i hate to cut the top off, although i have done i successfully three times. i guess my question is will it hurt him just to let him kinda bend over as he grows i have him tied to the wall sort of so he won't bend over and break

Try cutting it back lower on the stems. That will give it more growing room and then you won't have to prune it back as often.

Letting it grow against the ceiling will not harm the plant but it will distort the growth and look very strange.
