Was emptying some flower pots yesterday when I discovered my ornamental sweet potato had produced a large tuber in the ground. Does anyone know how I might preserve the tuber or parts of it to start new plants next spring? Thanks in advance for your help.

from my experience, you can treat all tuberous plants about the same. keep the tuber about the same way you would keep any other (my guess would be in dry sawdust or sand in any area where the temp doesn't go below 50, but isn't "heated")

Thanks, Jif,
Was thinking about putting them in peat moss in my cold cellar about the same as cannas. Might try a couple methods as an experiment.
