Howdy y'all!

My tenants left a large grow lamp at my house where I now live. I usually start fruits and veggies early, and this year I'd like to use the lamp so I can put them in a room where my kitties can't disturb them.

The problem is, the plug is unusual. It has three prongs like a regular grounded plug, except they're all round.

I have noooo idea how to make this thing work. Please help!

that's easy. if the lamp is portable, take it to your local appliance repair shop to find out what it's voltage is. if it is 110, then you can have them put a new plug on it, or pick up an adapter. if it is 220, then they can give you the appropriate advice on what to do.

The rounded prongs are most likely european type. If your tenants were using them in the US, that means the "light" is 110V-120V; to be sure, please follow Jiffymouse suggestion and take the whole unit to an appliance store and have it tested.

If 110V-120V, you will probably need a 3-prong adapter (with 1 round prong and 2 flat prongs) similar to PG6 (see picture in the link below):
