My nextdoor neighbour is concerned about a cluster of day lilies that are not blooming. She has had this plant for about 4 years and it has always flowered. She has another bunch of day lilies a few feet away and they are flowering. Does anyone have a clue as to why these lilies aren't blooming. The foliage looks just fine.

Is there any difference in the depth of shade or sun they are in?

No - both clusters of day lilies are in the same flower bed only about 3 ft. away from each other. I wonder if Day Lilies have a life span and just quit blooming. I have some in my flower bed that I have had for a good 5 years and they bloom every year.

Well, maybe they need to be taken up and divided. Sometimes if they become too crowded it hampers their blooming. flw
