Stargazer lily. We had a windy day yesterday and my Stargazer was in bloom, until the wind blew the blooms away. Where do i cut? So another bloom will show up? [Linked Image]

Hi Deb,

Don'tchya just hate that when it happens??
Such is life in the garden................
But cut it just under where the flower was is where I do it.
Leaves the whole stem to put back into the bulb as nutrient...

Nope, it won't grow back ters
Not until next year! cool crit

I planted some pampas grass for the first time this year. I was told that in the fall you can burn it to the ground and it will come up in the spring, is that wise? Or should you just cut it down?

Have just been blessed with the amazing bloom of the spider lilly! I feel like a kid with a new toy, this is my first experience with this delicate bulb. I am a transplanted Northerner and am delighted with all the new flowers that are available inspite of the heat/humidity in Houston, TX. It took one bulb about 6 months in a 3 gallon pot on a protected patio before it sent up a stem to bloom. The bloom brings a smile to my face each morning before I go to work! wavey
