I recently planted a nice sized Lady's Mantle plant and the leaves are starting to turn yellow and the stems are looking a bit droopy. Is this normal in the fall? I am in zone 5b.

Elliesue,
Can you tell us what you did when you planted your Ladies Mantle???
And what kind of dirt you used......
your watering practices....
Kind of fertilizers you've used...

And/or maybe too deep or too high when you planted it??? Just a thought????

Let us know your answers and I'm sure someone
will come thru and help you a little bit further.

Weezie

I just planted it in ordinary garden soil and haven't used any fertilizer. I keep the plant moist and it is planted in a mostly shady location but gets a couple hours of sunlight in the morning. A couple of the leaves are now turning yellow so don't know if this is normal for the fall or not. I am sooo new to perennial gardening! Any help you can give me would be so appreciated! Ellie

Forgot to say when I planted it, the crown is at soil level. Ellie
