I am so proud to be here. I like potted plants that grow in partial shade in courtyards and patios.
I also like fountains and springs and teensy ponds.
I have been doing this for only a few years, and I have bits of information I can share if needed, and I am here to learn all I can too!

Wow, flying too! That is cool - my oldest son flies for American.
When you have time I would love to know about what you grow up there.
Ontario is a beautiful place!

Hi!
So nice to hear from you this morning. It is a lovely morning here in Texas, soft and hazy with the dried grass cool to walk on.
We are having a big drought here and Wednesday my daughter and I rode with my oldest son in the Leroy Volunteer Fire Dept. truck Brush One on a call to assist at a huge grass fire in another community.
He was the only man home from work and able to respond.
It turned out to be a huge wheat field ablaze.
Trucks from several neighboring communities were working together to contain the fire.
My daughter drove the truck whilst Ernie stood on the back managing the hose, and sometimes got down on the ground to do it (he was wearing his fireman boots and trousers).
But the fire got put out just fine. Most of the crop was lost however. Overheated harvesting equipment had started the blaze.
I love the photograph of you with your daughter!
What a special time ~ my daughter is now 23.
But my oldest son, who is 32, has a toddler named Jett, so I have a baby to love again.
My own "baby" is a 17 year old boy!
Can't believe it all goes by so fast. But every part of life is good and good things keep coming!
Wishing you a lovely afternoon ~Lorna
