In March Sarah accepted my offer to dig up some Iris for her, that grows wild along the irrigation ditch in front of my Son's house. (No, I'm not just getting around to it, 6 months later... fall is the best time to move that kind of thing!) grinnnn I dug up some of it Thursday, because I knew that my Granddaughter & I would be making a road trip yesterday to do some shopping 90 miles north of where we live. Sarah lives half way, so I had the perfect opportunity to get "Iris 2 Sarah" off my list!

Whenever I've gone shopping up there this past year, I've been able to swing off the freeway & stop in at Sarah's to see the progress being made on her new house. The last time I was there, in early August, this is what it looked like:

And here it is now:

THAT'S what I call progress! clp (Now I know why she hasn't been around here much... she's been playing in the dirt in her spare time!)

WAY TO GO SARAH! [Linked Image]

She has the cutest autumn decorations on her front porch!

[Linked Image](How odd... I didn't notice a car parked in her livingroom when we were talking to Abby through the window!)

We found her at work, but she wasn't on duty; she was loading plants into a big box... it looked like she was buying them all out!

We chatted & showed BG where the birds & bunnies were inside, then Sarah grabbed her new ride & posed for the camera!
[Linked Image]
Honest! SHE'S the one who said that's what it was... not me! laugh

I didn't know that it was her birthday until I got home last night & saw her birthday thread! [Linked Image]

She didn't tell me, either!
(And to think that I could have baked her a cake before I left home.)

Although I've traveled in the direction of Sarah's neighborhood a few times since October I was always rushed & never got the chance to stop in & see her... but yesterday my trip north was a more leisure one. I found her at work (I think she lives there) & she was looking great!

The Feed Store has undergone a face lift since I was there last, & appears to be more of a gift shop than a place to buy feed, grain & flowers! They even have a variety of enameled cookware & I found the frying pan I've been looking for!

Here she is by a valentine novelty display. (Notice that cool tree, made from doweling & feathers! What a great craft idea!)

She was all smiles & bubbly like she was when I first met her, & she was looking so darned good that I totally forgot to ask her about her shoulder & her Advil/aspirin ulcer! [Linked Image]
