Triss, I've never had one fall apart
and it's so hard to know where to put the knot
If I'm worried it won't hold I tighten it nice, thread it and bury it the other direction for a good inch or two.
I bury most of my threads that way. I actually embrace that part. It's a zen almost done thing. God Bless Aunt Lu - to her it was the only way!
My Hubby, the fisherman, also taught me a knot for joining on a new skein of yarn. With this knot I can clip the ends to the quick. I don't have to bury any ends at changing yarn. God Bless Aunt Lu - she would have loved this knot.
Sometimes it pays to be married to a fisherman (besides the good eats that is)
Have a great evening and keep crocheting!
