My name is Sherrie and this site was recommended to me by my ex husband to meet new people and learn how to make my house plants not die. A terrible thing too, my thumb is not green and everything I touch dies. Thankfully it hasn't reached the human living things yet! Anyway, I am so looking forward to meeting all the wonderful people he says are on here and getting to learn new things as well.

Welcome Sherrie! We've been awaiting your arrival - so glad you made it safely! Come join our family, pull up a chair and tell us a bit more about yourself? What kinds of plants do you like? Other interests? Hobbies?

Hello Triss, Don't know why in the world you would want to leave Hastings. (Ha!) Have been seriously considering leaving myself. I moved here in 1999 to be closer to my oldest son, and now he left for greener pastures in Las Vegas. Isn't that a fine "how do you do?" Born in Texas and lived there most of my life. Sure do get homesick sometimes.

Well, we have made up for it this year. It started right after Halloween, and have gotten 1" to 6" per week since. Had some really nice days this week, but alas supposed to snow again this weekend. Last Winter this bad was 2000-2001. I hate cold Winters.

My kids are all grown now, and are not impressed with the snow and don't like driving on the ice. The grandchildren do still get excited, they made a snowman outside and you should have seem my youngest grandson ransacking the house to find eyes, nose and clothes for it. Looked ok at first but when started melting, looked like a shot duck. HA HA It was really funny and cute. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c31/texassmart/78b34b09.jpg
