Thanks, Tina! Weezie...it is. She did sell it. She said she couldn't keep up with the gardens anymore, and none of the family who lives over there would help her.

Did she get to get a new house that has a small place to garden... I'd hate to think she stopped all together....

I hope a TRUE GARDENER, Or someone who can afford a gardener, bought that house... What a shame if they weren't.... ***I had that happen 5 house's down from me.. There was this house for sale, and they'd always had really pretty gardens in it, nothing like your grammies, but a nice array of plants... I was hopin' who ever bought it would only add to what was there... They ripped out the entire one section of it...

She says she doesn't want to garden anymore, but I bet she changes her mind...how could you give up completely?
Have you heard of the show "brat camp"? The people who run the reform program for kids bought the house. We will see what they do with it...

She says she doesn't want to garden anymore, but I bet she changes her mind...how could you give up completely? I am cryin' nowwwwwwwwwwwwww..... But I will pray for those gardens as well... That's alot of work put into those gardens.. I'd hate to think of someone ending all of that time and hard work and love... Tell her she can't quit nowwwwwwwwwwww..... Man, I'd let her move in with me.... in a heart beat... *well, she doesn't have any annoying habits does she??? I have 3 males here that can be tryin' and a mother next door... I might have to re~think that one... Just jokin' *

It's my mom's mom...
Every year she added compost by the dump-truck full, and then topped it all with 4" of corse bark. She spent at least 2 hours a day out there watering everything...the whole property was 1.2 acres. Not all of it was landscaped, but a HUGE chunk of it was.
Here's the kicker...she had that house less than 10 years.
