Wait - where's all the advice about the Windex? Hasn't anyone seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding? smile

Actually, I have a helpful hint about a UTI also - there's a big misconception about cranberry juice. It works wonders for UTIs and is a powerful astringent, but cranberry juice is VERY bitter, and the stuff you buy like Ocean Spray, etc., is loaded with sugar, which feeds bacteria. (Read the labels on those - some say 100% juice, but the ingredients list sugar as the 1st ingredient. I dunno who they have in their math department).

At all natural food stores you can find true 100% cranberry juice, but it's disgusting. You gotta hold your nose. Drink a few glasses of that a day, along with something for symptom relief (I use AZO Standard), and you'll be good to go.

My 83-year-old pharmacist grandpa taught me that one. He's old-school, yo. teech

**Is it bad I'm using all the name-brand stuff? Will I get sued by all the corporate lawyers? LOL

any kind of liquid cleaner that has a sprayer will work in a pinch when it comes to bees/wasps; etc.

i've used various types/brands of soapy cleaners, windex, even hairspray!!

when i was outside last week, this HUGE bee (one of the wood or ground-boring kind) just wouldn't leave me alone...all i could find quickly was the can of scrubbing bubbles...it didn't kill the thing, but it did scare it away!!

Anyone know what to use to get rid of a nest of Yellow jackets?
I think there may be a nest behind my doorstep.
I don't want to kill them, I just don't want them there.

Becky it is dangerous to move them youself .. You could try and call animal control or something to see if they will move it for you!

Even if you don't smoke I know a lot of people who carry tabacco with them for bee stings! Pull a dab of the tabacco wet it and apply it to the area!! Takes the sting away almost instantly!

Thanks Vanessa! kissies This is really good to know. I'm not anxious to try it, eek but it should come in handy the next time I burn myself. wink
