Dose anyone have any ideas on how to "flush" the kidneys? I am getting over a really bad kidney infection and I have been drinking water but when I drink some soda or tea (for someting diffrent) my kidneys start hurting.

Cranberry juice as stated is the best thing...I use to hate it until I was pregnant and had kidney problems which was going to require surgery, but doctor was trying to buy time for the baby to be delivered first and I had to live on the stuff...I love it now.

I, too, was going to say cranberry juice....or cran-grape, or cran-apple... ummmm...if your tired of straight water and don't have cranberry juice, what about slightly flavoring the water with other juice?? ..or maybe highly diluted tea??

water is best, diluted fruit juice is ok, cranberry is best juice for UTI's. Never drink tea or cola beverages with kidney problems - they cause kidney stones. Flushing the kidneys is a little bit of a misnomer though - the kidneys will clear themselves in time as long as you stay well-hydrated. (taking a test in the morning on this subject)
