I grew job's tears this year too, but haven't goten much seeds. Luckily, I still have a stash of old seeds that I can use to make rosaries with.

I make these Christmas reindeer ornaments. This one is made from red and green reed but I have other colors I can use. I'm willing to trade them if anyone is interested. I usually sell them for $1 so they are really cheap. Not counting the tail, legs, and antlers, the reindeer is about 6 inches long and 4 inches high.

I know the "rules" on photos say no bigger than 640X480 which is what is this picture is. Can anyone tell me why it looks so big?

well dodge, I've never really had much luck starting anything indoors, I soaked an then sowed them outisde and they sprouted just fine. Hmmm, I've never heard anything about freezing them, but when I sowed them, it was after the last frost so they didn't get a chance to freeze. The seeds were a couple years old (bout 2001) I thought I'd try them just for the sake of it, it worked! I dig up and give some seedlings (this year bout 24 or so) to a friend of mine (she's s nun) and her convent will grow them to make roasries with them; she usually gives me a bag of seeds back at the end of fall. OH well, God works in mysterious ways, maybe they'll have seeds in time! I'm going to try putting the seeds in the freezer this year!

Why in the freezer.. You have snow.. I an putting all my seeds in a plastic container and putting them in an unheated garage......Then when i plant they will think it is spring>>>>>

Takes room in the freezer.........
Glad you helping the nuns.. Good choice. I been to Quebec to visit all the lovely shrines.. Most pleasant experience.

Ill see if I can answer the reindeer questions here. If you need more information, please pm me.

I have several colors and can make any combination, or even make some all one color. White is not a color available in reed. The best I can do is the natural color of reed which is the color of wood. I also do not have anything like 10 shades of any color. For example, in blue I usually have only 2-medium and light.

Dodge: I really like your pincushion hats, PM me and let's see if we can make a deal

Triss: PM me with your color preferences and I'll see what I can do for you

Penny in Ontario: PM me and let me know how many and which color. I don't mind selling at all.

Jayhawk, Any 6 that are different works for me. You pick the colors.

Are you in need of a baby blanket? Or if you have older grand girls, doll blankets? I can make mini's of my bigger ones.
