my nephew came home from iraq this past week on r & r and we went to pensacola to see him this weekend. we were only there 49 hours exactly, and drove a total of 18 to make it happen but it was well worth it.

That second picture of Kate and Matthew (with the dog) is an awesome picture of them together.

Wow, I wish I could've been there with you all! I bet it was great, looks so peaceful there. And yep that second pic is really great of the two of them!

Jiffy those are some great photo's . When I was driving in Fl. I always liked to watch the sunset and sunrise over the ocean always so pretty and peaceful. I would pull my truck to the side when I could just to watch.

the sunset pics are beautiful!!! I'm so glad you got to see your nephew!!! 18 hours of windshield time truely is worth your family's few hours together!!

In Regard to the Pubs restrooms good thing you were coming out when you did!!

the bulk of the time was spent with daniel and his mother and sister


but we did venture out to see other folks like my gramma

Jiffy had to do a double take on his mother. She looks exactly like one of Billie's younger sister's Sue. So much so I just looked for a minute. Your Granma and Aunt are very lovely. Nice looking family anyway you go.

we went to perdido key also known as the redneck riviera which is only about 4 miles from the the house i grew up in

one of the spots on that we went to was the reef which is a restaurant upstairs and bar downstairs. the drummer in the band grew up in the same neighborhood and he is the same age as my brother. they were best friends/scrapping buddies growing up and he introduced my brother to my sil.

i'm glad you have all enjoyed the vacation. we did stop one other place (another bar) called the angler. we poked our noses in to pick on my niece... and kate and matthew had a ball with her too, especially since she forgot they were old enough to get in, she didn't recognise them!
