I know, Sarah, Tons of stuff went on here...I'll NEVER get it all read....!  Lynne, I'm workin' on a couple pics or so... I rescued a big ceres (spelling?) from a neighbor/commercial gardening lady next door...She threw it out to the curb. I dragged it accross the yard to my apartment, potted it...and it bloomed one night three weeks later...HA!

It's a night-blooming cactus. It makes these glorious neon white blooms...for one night. bats polinate them... I can't tell you the pleasure it is to do gardenspeak again, you guys....

When Amy and I visited our friend's parents in Puerto Rico 2 summers ago, her mom had one in bloom while we were there - very nice indeed!

Ack... I took some of my favorite babies to the office (my boss LOVES the stuff I've brought. Being a Dr....she has full-spectrum flourescent lighting) some of the euphorbiums are doing pretty well...some of 'em conked... Trying to get different succulents to thrive.. wot a challenge... Using cactus Juice & Eleanor's plant food to coax them..... The office is in Beverly Hills....& the air is nasty

What a project! I think of you every time I go into the wonderful plant store up in Eugene...they have a HUGE section of cactus and cool stuff like that...but I am always too scared to try them. I did get a start of an orchid cactus, and managed to root it, even though I had no idea what I was doing. I'm off to bed now...I hope you come out to play again really soon!
