THE COMPUTER SWALLOWED GRANDMA

The computer swallowed grandma.
Yes, honestly its true.
She pressed 'control' and 'enter'
And disappeared from view.

It devoured her completely,
The thought just makes me squirm.
She must have caught a virus
Or been eaten by a worm.

I've searched through the recycle bin
And files of every kind;
I've even used the internet,
But nothing did I find.

In desperation, I asked Jeeves
My searches to refine.
The reply from him was negative,
Not a thing was found 'online
So, if inside your 'Inbox,'
My Grandma you should see,
Please 'Copy', 'Scan' and 'Paste' her
And send her back to me!

After I laughed, that was my second thought, too, Thorny. Wishing they were here to share it with.

heard this yesterday and Gramma seems the right place for it....

The octogenarians were sitting around the senior center commenting on their disorders.

The first one said, "I was so tired I could hardly get out of bed this morning."
Another said, "I'm so weak I can barely lift this cup of coffee."
The third said, "My cataracts are so bad I can't even see the cup of coffee."
"What?" said a fourth,
Another one said, "I hope it's soup for lunch today, my teeth aren't working."
A confused voice said, "Are we here for lunch?"
The last one, a cheerful little soul, said "But isn't it wonderful we can all still drive?" p

Tina & Bev, these posts are GREAT! thumbup
I'm copying them to e-mail to my 83 year old Mom... the one we nagged into getting a computer so we could e-mail her (& then we told her that we had to put an IM program into her machine!) My Sis & I have been IMing with her, 3 times a week, for the past 6 years! She gets frustrated with her computer, & has never been one to swear, but says that she now understands why people (such as mechanics) WANT to!

She moved to a Retirement Community several years ago & has her breakfast, lunch & dinner with other residents every day... she's going to love printing these up & sharing them with her buddies, at meal times! (That is, IF she can get the printer to work!!) laugh laugh

Thanx, girls!
