Two years ago I was addicted to Ebay...

..I would set my alarm on my cell phone to go off 2 or 3 times a night to make sure I didn't miss the end of an auction I wanted to bid on.

Ebay is the reason I have high-speed internet. laugh
The night someone outbid me at the last second on an antique sign I was bidding on mad ...well, that was the last night for dial-up!

I love Ebay...I've sold there, but mostly bought there...and only had a few times where people didn't come through with the money after they won my item I had up for bid.

But...now that I have The Garden Helper forum I don't have time for Ebay! This place has saved me a LOT of money! laugh

well you all don't forget to look at Mary's site while your surfing the ebay. I always believe in keeping it in the family if possible. She has some really cool stuff.

Me personally I don't have the time or patients for auctions. I will occassionally do a "buy it now" for something but not often.

Happy holidays and new year to you all.

I've never bought anything on ebay but have enjoyed browsing. My husband, however, bought me the most incredible Christmas present I've ever had (except my baby girl) on ebay. It took him months to gather it all but it's a small collection of coins from Bible times and it's amazing.

ebay fan myself... my strategies are to wait to last minute... to always include the shipping as the actual cost of the item... always check other sellers items when they combine shipping (it's way cheaper that way, even if the items weren't the initial reason of being on the site)and to find out what the item would cost if I bought it at a local store... the first time I had ever used ebay I bought a cd walk-man and got it and then went to wal-mart and found the EXACT brand and everything for less!
