I have fern taking over my lawn, I have tried digging them up, spraying them and then digging them up once they are dead, covering them to keep all light out, they are spreading everywhere! (I've thought about burning them but would probably burn down the house so guess that is a bad idea) These fern are everywhere, bright light low light even no light. Soon I will have no grass left, just these darn ferns everywhere. And to think I thought getting rid of vines was difficult. Please help, I'm getting desperate!

Hi Jenn, I'm glad you said hello. I live in South Carolina on the coast and I assume ferns like the soil here eek It's been a problem ever since Charlie blew thru here. I figure he left behind more than downed trees! Hopefully someone will be able to help me get these ferns under control. I try not to mow them, I figure that will just spread the millions of seeds they produce, but I can't keep up with trying to dig them out anymore. And I definitly can't afford to have the entire yard dug up to start over. Getting the downed trees out was costly enough!

on man, if they spread that good I'd love some of the seeds. I have shady spots that are in need of something.
