After a week of hard work, no sleep, a rooster 20 feet from my window (that had no glass in it), cold showers and attending to the needs of 15 teenagers I came home to take my nursing license test and passed. I'm doing the happy dance. Where's that dancing pickle when I need it? Heading off to PA tonight to see Mom for a couple of days and then when I get home my first priority is to take a nap.

Bev that is so awesome, not only that you passed the test, but that you survived the trip!
I am so happy for you and so proud that you stuck with it and you can now use that license to do even more good in your life and all you touch will truly be blessed!

Well I think you deserve a medal for going with all those teens- and to pass your exams afterwards.... I would have needed a rubber room for a while so you need a long nap at the least! Good for you! Nana

Thank you for all your kind words. I think I'm still a little shell-shocked over the whole experience and the fast drive north and back. Not only haven't I napped I haven't slept at all. Ended up in the ER the night we arrived with my girl who had an allergic reaction to supper. Squirrel I drove right past Harrisburg today - next time through I'll contact you first!! Jiffy - I'm waiting on that visit

love the dancing veggies - my girl passed out at her friends last week, hit her head on the way down, then drove herself home - we have had a serious talk, are waiting on the results of a CT scan (there is a question of low Blood pressure or possibly a seizure) and pulled her driving privileges until we have some answers. Not sure if this is related to the two allergic reactions in one week and all the meds she's been pumped full of or if it's something completely unrelated. But she is taxing all my new found book-learnin' that's for sure.

She had vanilla ice cream when we were in Ecuador that had been "contaminated" with almonds, dinner last weekend had pesto in it and we didn't realize it. Having recently acquired a taste for sweet tea she missed the lemon that it had in it and had a mild reaction to that. Both the nut reactions were serious. The results of the CT scan came in today and she has a sinus infection and that's what was making her dizzy. She apparently knocked herself out when she lost her balance and fell due to the dizziness. Her allergies have been pretty well controlled for years but I don't know what's happening lately, I think we need a bubble.
