Are you always throwing away bottles of flat soda?
If you have a half bottle or a bit of soda that is flat and no-one will drink it. just mix it with fresh soda and no-one is going to know the difference. Because the fresh is adding the carbonated fizz. Your soda won't have to be thrown down the drain, and this will save you money in the long run! grinnnn

around here soda doesn't have time to go flat. with 2 teenagers and their friends around, soda and milk are almost an endangered species. but i will remember this just in case, thanks.

I don't compost it. I throw it directly on my plants. They love it.

I tried to find Sparkling Cider for our "Game Night" with the kids on New Years Eve, but it was sold out at every store I went to. The only thing I could find was Perrier, Lime flavored carbonated mineral water, so I bought 8 bottles!!! ... & the kids didn't like it! I tried it too, & the stuff is REALLY dreadful... tastes like bad Alka Seltzer!
I never thought of using it for my plants, but I guess I have heard about people doing that.

The kids are real good about asking for a can of pop & then walking away & forgetting they've opened one. We have an ant problem here, so I don't know that I'd want to put their "leftovers" in the flower beds that are close to the house. The carbonated mineral water should work pretty well in those spots though, so now I can get rid of it & make room for something else in the pantry! thumbup Thanx for the tip, Tina!
