I went back to school to get a degree in Nursing. I'd been working in a school clinic for years and lost my job because the laws changed and I needed a license - so tried for an LPN and was told I would have to take psych 101 (I was a psych major the first time around) so I switched to the BSN program because it was would have been shorter than an LPN if I had done a fast-track program. My brain was too old and stiff for the fast program so just did the traditional. And now, except for the licensing test I'm done.

Gee Bev, that's amazing that it takes longer for an LPN than a BSN. Great.

Thank you all for your congrats. I was surprised to see this back. I graduated 5/12 and immediately began a review course that was suggested/required by the school. That is finished now and I took the first date I could get for a licensing exam. So on July 5 I hope you will all be praying that I pass the test. I have a job in an elementary school clinic (provided I pass the test) and will start the beginning of August - school starts really early here. I love school nursing and used to do it before the laws changed and look forward to getting back to it. I am studying hard every day for the next two weeks and then heading to Ecuador for a week, then back in time for the test. Thanks again to all of you.

Congratulations Bev! thumbup

Sorry I'm just seeing this, I don't know how I missed it before. frown I know how difficult it must have been for you and I realize what you have accomplished. wink I started college on my 38th birthday so I was in school with all the youngsters just out of high school and it was very intimidating. Great Job! thumbup

I'll be keeping you my prayers that you do well on your licensing exam, but considering what you have already accomplished I have no doubt that you'll excel on your exam! Best of luck and God bless! angell
