Meg, I love the one of them sleeping on the chair! That's a hoot. Isn't it AMAZING how fast they grow? Our neighborhood cat had kittens about 3 weeks ago...we have been desperately trying to find them so they wont be wild...so far, no luck!

Kareena, umm.. do what I do.. "what?" "huh?" It's called a deaf ear, or selective listening.. men do it quite well, but since Steve really doesn't like cats & I have 3 of them now.. well.. I just don't listen to him when he goes off about them needing to find a new home. lala

Okay, so am I the only guy that wanted to see kitties? We just got another one this week. It's a black tabby, and get this, it's got 6 toes on each front paw, and 5 (instead of the usual 4) in back. This is a rare condition called "polydactily" (I think I spelled that right), so we've named her Polly. (I know, Paw-ly would have been even cuter). I'll try to post a pic soon. My wife lucked out with me...she shows me a kitten, and I just melt. I actually told her to bring this one home when she told me about the 6 toes. It's so cute, she looks like she's wearing catchers' mits on her paws.

That's awesome peppereater. I would love to get more kitties.. but 3 is 2 more than he ever agreed to, not that he really agreed to 1 in the first place.. but umm.. anyways, I don't think I could sneak another one in here..lol.

Pheonix, I try to view your photobucket album, but it wants me to log in as you.. so you must have put the link in as you were logged in and it's your personal link to add photos into it, or something..

Hey pepper~~ 2 of my 3 cats are pollies. They are actually pretty common. Its a trait of being inbred. Thumbs has 22 toes like your one cat...6 on the front feet and 5 on the back. Snot has the normal 5 on the front feet, but they are misplaced. The dew claw is down where the "thumbs" would be and she has malformed nails growing out of those pads. Her back feet are really weird. One has 5 toes and the other has 6 and she has too many pads on those feet. Did you know they are called Hemmingway cats? Apparently Hemmingway was given a couple of these cats as a gift and he just loved them. They produce more of their own...and if not, those cats are carriers for the gene. If you go down to the Hemmingway estate, its loaded with those cats because he put in his will (I think) that they should stay there. Did you know that if your cat had kittens, that those kittens will have 1 more toe on each foot? And those kittens' kittens would have yet another added toe? I forget what the record is right now....something like 32 toes! Its rare tho, because the more toes, the more other malformations...like heart problems and kidney problems. So, most of the time if they have ALOT of toes....like 30 or something, they are stillborn. Around here, there are alot of these cats because the barn cats inbreed.
