I was at Lowes last night and they have an herb that they are calling a Dog-B-Gone that is a supposed natural way to keep your dog out of the garden. It said it was a "coleus cannis". Anyone heard of this? Does it work?? Duh

Gardengal,
Here's a site with some info on it,
I'm not sure how "natural" it is,
because it's very poisonous to dogs.....

I am not firmiliar with it, but,
I'm not sure I'd want my dog around it.????
But I guess if that's the purpose of it, but how do they know to stay away from it/?

I hope this helps!!

I don't know about this stuff... poisonous to dogs isn't quite the same as a natural repellent in my book. Here is the fact sheet from the company that sells it at Lowes...
http://www.herbherbert.com/pdf/dog_bane.pdf

It just says it deters dogs from the area. Hmmm... Duh

Has anyone tried it?
