Sorry if I confused y'all with those titles, kind of blurred the lines between two bands, but I was just referring to some banter between Thorn and I earlier!

Hey!! Know what?? I'm only 29 years old and I love Jethro, ELP, etc, etc... My dad was a morning man DJ for 20 years on a rock station and growing up there was no such thing as TV, just tunes!! Still to this day I'd rather tunes than TV. My entire family plays guitar, bass, drums, sings, etc... I don't listen to a whole lot of recent tunes, still stuck in the 60's and 70's.......man how I wish I was born back then so I could truly experience it!!!! Cheers Peppereater!!! Christina

I think they are so ovelooked in rock history, and even more so King Crimson. King Crimson's "Larks' Tongues in Aspic" Album.. is my all time favorite of them...

The best song EVER recorded, in my opinion is, "Velvet Green" by Jethro Tull. And Perhaps the second best was "Weathercock" by the group also..

I chose the name Thornius after being diagnosed with Gout. When I told my son that I had Gout he fell out laughing and told me I had turned into a Charles Dickens' character. I LOVED the idea of that and made up the name Thornius Weatherpink to reflect the new Dickens-like character I had become. I have used the name ever since whenever I am online. My real name is, Nat.

NAT! Glad to meet cha, Nat!
I like Nat too -- it strikes me as rather Dickensonian as well...
So, do you eat cherries or drink pure cherry juice as a preventive or cure for bouts of gout? It is the #1 natural treatment, besides all the other things. There is a reason gout is referred to as "The Rich Man's Disease"!

Wow...I had never heard that about cherries....I am not a big fan of cherries...but I am certainly gonna try it. I have gout in myright foot... I was told that some sea foods can aggrivate it...but personally I can't tell there is any one thing that sets it off....it just happens! My Doc gave me a topical pain ointment that doesn't help much either..What do you do for yours Nat???? Anything you have had success with?

My grandma has gout attacks. She takes ibuprofen for the pain and it's also an anti-inflammatory so she's killin' two birds with one stone.....also, anything that will help flush the kidneys (gotta get rid of that uric acid!!) and water is best thing for that....you should watch your diet....no shellfish! That's the killer! My grandmas constantly watches her diet and she still gets gout so it's hard to say if it can actually be avoided but it can be treated.

Christina that is what I have heard...the shellfish thing. But I cannot tell it makes a difference to me anyway. I just grin and bare it most of the time!!!

My Husband has what is called the traveling gout, and it would get very bad. he would get it in his elbow, knee, or where ever, and swell up, and get very red, and very painful, so after a couple years of this, I finely got him to go to the doctors. The doctor told him anything could trigger it. He gave him some strong pills to take for over a week, then gave him some lighter pills to take every day. He hasn't been bothered with it since. There was a couple times, he had a little soreness, but that was all, and it went away. Here is some information about GOUT

I use Allopurinal for my gout. It also prevents the kidney stones I suffered with about two years after coming down with the gout. As to Jethro Tull, I just finished compiling 5 more albums by them, on my computer over the last two days. I soon will have every song and album they have EVER recorded and can burn them to disk. I have literally hundreds (60 short of 1,500)mp3's on my computer at this time and add new ones every single day. I use Limewire Pro 4.9.37 to download ALL my music.
