I have heard it said that "those who claim money can't buy happiness have never been truly poor."
Or... "money can't buy happiness but it sure can make you feel lots better while you are looking for what makes you happy."
Money is a nice buffer. It can set up a
zone between a person and unthinkable disaster.
When you are driving down a deserted highway in a beat up old car on bald tires without a dime to your name, low on gas, no AAA card, no credit card, no cell phone, no spare... and a tire blows -- THAT can make you really unhappy!
A rich guy doesn't sweat it. He's got a good car, good tires, credit cards, a AAA card, money to burn, a cell phone and a laptop, probably one of those emergency locators on his dash, a road worthy spare. If a tire blows, he doesn't miss a beat. He just waltzes right on through, happy as a clam.
I like money.
Wish I had me some.
My kid seems to think it grows on
trees.
When he was little I told him I didn't have money for something he wanted and he told me to go to the store and get some!
We got everything else we needed at the store, so why not?
I hadda laugh.
