I was just telling Bill it wasn't here yet and he was about to trace it - then this afternoon I see the red white and blue postal truck come bumbling up the drive . . .

The flash overtook the colour on this - it's really dark grey - I'll try to do better with that one later.



Here's the coup de gras - Jeff is nuts about this thing. We're about to look into making a move and hope to have a balcony soon, so this will be nice for it.

There are other things too - some really nice clippers, a soil testing kit, some little tabs to write the names of the plants on it.

That cutter has two blades - what a gadget that is - can't wait to trim some branches with it.

I actually did drive down to the post office and the lady told me the package had been sent by truck instead of air freight (that I paid for). She told me it might be another 2-4 weeks till Carly got her prize !
Needless to say, I was a smoking by the time I got back home!
I was very relieved to find Carly's "I got it" when I got here.
I'm sure glad I didn't raise a giant stink at the Post Office!!

(Don't cut yourself Carly... that sucker is sharp!)

Well, first off, I started laughing at the pictures.
When I just see a picture of someone else laughing, it makes me laugh! So, thanks for that, Carly ...I needed it!

I'm glad you didn't, either.
When I read that, I pictured you busting bad in the Post Office, and then 85 postal workers pulling out all manner of automatic weapons...
...you don't "go postal" on postal workers!

And, they might have even made you go to the back of the line!

I'm awake at 4:22 in the morning here. Thought I might as well have my first coffee.

I think I'll put Willy in the windowsill - I do have a small pot with some sedum in it.

We're going to see about a new place to live today. It's not easy, cause we've been here for 10 years. Jeff is the superintendent, as some of you already know. We need to move on.

I think the apartment building we're going to see has balconies - not sure. I think I'd rather save Wild Willy for that.

I should start a new thread for this cause it's going to affect my gardening plans.

Hey duckie, another big Buffy fanatic here!! (I have over 2 gigs of fan made music videos, mostly Buffy, on my hard drive!) And you KNOW I was thinking of those gnomes when I saw Carly's photo..

"Did willow put that thing there, when I was dead, cuz if I'd have known, I would have crawled out of the grave sooner."

But I like the little Wild Willy gnome, really.. he's not a bit creepy.

Looks like you will have a ton of fun with that stuff, Carly! Hope your days are going better for you now that your prizes got there. I'm glad that Bill was able to put a smile on your face after some of the days you have been having.

Fernie, awhile back, Bill held a little "contest" to see who could guess the closest when we got to our 5000 member mark. Carly guessed the best, so she won a goody box from Bill.

Yep - well, I was gonna' reply and tell you how I won it, but somebody told you already.

I think I'm going to have better days - we're close to making that move. There's a one-bedroom we're after and we want to move on the first of July.

I'm just going to garden on the front lot here till it's time to go. It will be hard leaving it, but you don't have to own something to love it.

I think what I'll do is mostly cleaning my spots. I'll let whatever's growing, grow and enjoy it just the same.

Then we'll be ready to spend the first summer we've had in ten years without being tied down by this superintendent business. I want to do a little traveling and I will have my way. Money, money . . . we've got some savings and we should spend some, I think.

Thanks for sharing the pix with us of you opening it up!! Isn't that always so exciting? Opening up a big package and having no clue what's in it????? Okay, well it is for me.....as you can guess my life isn't exactly excitement central....... :p
