The first thread was closed, so I'm starting another. Triss - I wish you much good luck in getting that house - sounds like a great solution to your problem. I'm hard pressed to find a highlight today, but it's always my wonderful friends here, and being fortunate not to be in harms way of the natural disasters that have been hitting of late.

The highlight of my day was just a few minutes ago, there' was a flight to NY from Calif.. something happened to it's front wheels.. they were turned sideways.. *if it landed, they would be backwards* They had to fly around for 3 hours to burn up the fuel, so if it did crash on landing, the fuel wouldn't exaggerate the situation more if it did crash.. They JUST LANDED!! I was watching it live.. Unbelievable the technology we have now.. But I was prayin' to GOD, that he'd keep them safely in his hands.. and he did!!

My husband is flying back from Colorado tomorrow, and my heart just about stopped when they cut in about this flight just now!

Oh, I'll bet.. My mom is leaving to go to Oregon in a couple of days.. I was like, maybe you could walk mother... I'd been watchin' it for a bit... They'd been in the air flyin' around for 3 hours burnin' that extra fuel off, they were supposed to go to NYC...

Hey all... glad we are continuing this one!!!
Never saw the plane landing or even heard to it. Thank God it made it safely. Will be saying prayers for your husband Lynne and your mom Weezie that they both have safe flights.
My highlight of today is that things went well with the broker!

Hi Catlover -
Yep - my husband got home safe and sound. He hadn't heard about that plane in Calif., as he was hiking all day the previous day and fell into bed that night.
Weezie - hope your mom has a very smooth and uneventful flight to Oregon!

You all are my highlight today. Back attcha, TK! My highlight is fitting into some clothes from 2 years ago that I couldn't even put on last summer/fall. And the fact that my internist's first comment upon seeing me yesterday at my physical was "YOU LOST WEIGHT!!!" Hope you're all having a great Saturday. We're off to Brooklyn to my cousin's baby's first birthday party. CYA!

they all made it home. if my scanner wasn't on the fritz, i'd show y'all kate's target. lets say that when she turns 21 and can have her own 9 mil, i won't worry about her. she painted that bull's eye! (6 shots, 2 holes) and my highlight today was the kids getting up and out the door without fighting! yeah
