I was just curious as too how many people bag their grass clippings or just leave them?
I hate mowing, but i do like a nice yard.

Well if we can keep on top of the grass cutting and the clippings are small, (ie not in clumps) then we leave them but if they are heavy we rake them up and add them to the compost.

Grass clipping contrary to popular belief, do not add to a thatch problem, and are very beneficial to your lawn. They break down to a very slow release fertilizer about a
5-5-5. The only time that they should be picked up is when mowing the lawn after a lot of growth causes there to be rows or clumps of clippings left behind. if you use a good mower with a mulching blade the clippings should be so small as they will not be seen laying on your lawn.

Fortunately, (or unfortunately), however u want to look at it, i didn't have to do much mowing this past summer due to the drought here in the southeast. I'm hoping the precipitation this coming season will be back to normal.
