Dear duckie,
I am getting up in age. I have produced so many children, I lost count long ago. I started my life back in May and am nearing the end of my life cycle but am still managing to provide for you, your family and your friends. You have treated me well and have provided me with a nourishing blanket for my feet and gave me drinks when I was thirsty. I am providing shelter and harboring food for your friends, the Mantis family. My appendages are getting a little brittle now but you are being very careful while prodding into my delicate structure. Thank you. I had to rest a little a few weeks ago but you were patient with me while I regained my strength. I just needed a little rest.
I have been and am still enjoying the company of my friends, Mater, Eggy, Beeter and Pep.
Thank you for welcoming me into your garden. I hope to come back next year. I like it here.
