When I was about 11 years old, my family went through a very bad time-we lost our home just before the holidays, and we were looking at spending Christmas in a hotel with no
tree or decorations, I had a book of chrocheted christmas decorations with me and I crocheted Mr and Mrs Snowman - both have hats and scarves and Mrs Snowman has a wreath, and Mr snowman has a broom,they are made with a large size coffee can in the bottom - so they are fairly large. I also cut down the pattern and made children for them- each holding some sort of Christiams decoration. They are reminders that we now have a home and better life then we did then, they are the first decorations to come out every year and last to go back in the box. I have since made others over the years and given them to some really lonely people.
