Hi Greg

As much as I hate to say it, the best grass to plant here for your needs is Bermuda. It will grow here in sun, shade, wet, dry, and any other conditions you can think of! It spreads quickly and thickly, (that's why those of us who garden here aren't fond of it frown ), and it stands up well to our climate, as well as the (sometimes) haphazard trimming habits of a cemetary's maintenence staff. It's readily available as a lawngrass here (scary if you have flowerbeds) so you'll have no trouble finding it.
