...my day.

It started off kinda rough.
I was sick this morning. :rolleyes:

Nothin' like being sick at your stomach when you have had major breast surgery. The surgeon had to cut deep into my chest muscles, and into my rib cage...well, you don't want the gorey details on that. Let's just say it was not a good day to be sick...and leave it at that.

Then, to make matters worse, Lola pooped on my head.
I'm sitting in the floor, Lola is on my shoulder, I'm thinking I might need to get back into the bathroom...
"Gotta poop!" she says.
I say..."Hold on".
She says, "YOU hold on! Gotta POOP!"
She jumps on my head and says, "I'm comin' right back!"
...then poops on my head!
...and comes back to my shoulder!

Oh, well.......

So, after I get up and get THAT taken care of, I sit down at the computer and open a PM from G-Mom.
There is a knock at the door...the mail-lady.
I get up and have her bring this huge box into the house because there's no way I can lift it...postage was, like, 16 bucks!
Heavy box!



It's from VANESSA!
I get a razor blade and start slicing it open...
The first thing I pull out is...WILLY!



Second thing was.....



...CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!!!

It was one awesome treat right after the other...



I did fine until I got to this...
.....then I started crying.


A big bowl of soup to make me better!

Do NOT offer me these things!

The banana bread is great where it's at...in YOUR freezer!

If you go to the post office for something else, you can mail it if you want to, but PLEASE don't make a special trip!

The longer you take to mail it, the longer my stomach gets to straighten up so I can eat it!
So, it's fine in your freezer right now!
TRUST ME on that!

O.K. Cindy,
I'll hold up. Maybe in a couple more weeks you'll feel like having a feast and then I'll send it to you. In the meantime it gives me a chance to come up with some more ideas. I've got a baking day coming up again soon.
And besides, that's what you get for being so loved!!!

Well it was a good cry anyway so that's o.k. I'd cry too if someone sent me a box of goodies that I wasn't expecting to get...

Vanessa- you really did a great job on that package. KUDOS!!!

*ouch* Cindy. That had to totally suck. What a wonderful package you got tho. I do hope you get to enjoy those chocolate chips soon tho! Mmmmmm. Looks very tasty. And I love your Wild Willy!

I hope you didn't already have that one! I was trying really hard to remember what the one you put Brennon's candy bar in looked like!
I just felt really helpless being so far away and not being able to help you my friend!
OMG...I didn't EVEN think about how heavy it was (and it was REAL heavy)and you not being able to lift...DUH....that's about as smart as hubby's brother coming up and patting him on the back...then sayiong "OH...I guess I shouldn't have done that with you just having back surgery...DUH...hubby was pretty green!
I just want you to get better and hopefully have a smile in between the OOWWIIEESS!!!!

AND...I kinda cracked up because the only box I had was the one the potty chair came in....I figured you would think you were getting a bedpan to help you out!

Oh Vanessa what a great care package you put together. Geez Cindy I am a lousy baker and I don't do candy...want me to send you some lentils or something (well it is what is grown here)?

awww that's so sweet!!! hope you're feeling better soon cindy! I hate to say it but I had tears in my eyes because I was laughing so hard about Lola pooping on your head! I didn't mean to but I can just picture that! BAD LOLA! <img border="0" alt="[tongue]" title="" src="graemlins/tongue.gif" /> :p lol! and that's just hilarious vanessa about you using a potty chair box! oh well it's the only thing you had! :-)

If you ALL will remember...last summer I BEGGED everyone to PM me their home addresses so I could put them in my Garden Helper address book ...I love to send cards, boxes, surprises etc.....but guess what....only 3 people responded. SO...if you all want to be on my goodie list PM your address to me. I hate not having addresses especially around holidays. Don't you just love to get MAIL (not junk mail)there is something about going to the mailbox and having a surprise in there...makes the day special.
Afgrey...that garden angel will watch over your garden goodies while you can't.

I made the mistake of leaving it in a spot where the sun came thru the window directly on it, and burned one of the leaves.
