Alas, with our desperatley needed rain, I face a whole other gamat (sp?) of problems....I planted my Cannas after the frost danger and that's when 26 out of 30 days it decided to rain. Soo needless to say out of my 50+ tubers I planted only 4 have made it to the 2nd leaf. It's very upsetting but since last year my 6 that I plant yeilded over 50+ new ones, I'll have another chance at it this fall. So anyhow... I was wondering if I can move one of these babies? I would like one in each corner of th egarden but if it is risking the little guys life I won't do it. thanks in advance!

I've moved them durning all seasons with success.
Firstly I prepare a spot for them.
Then I use a large shovel and dig deeper than needs to be and around the plants wider than is generally needed. Then I carry the plants to the new spot very carefully so not to dislodge any soil.
As long as the roots aren't disturbed, there should be no problem.

Sorry to hear about the loss of so many of your newly planted cannas.
