Hi Everyone -- We got our first warm weather in Northern Michigan and I am eager to get back outside and plant. I have lots of questions that I will post under the appropriate forums. I just bought a house last year and started a flower garden, and some plants work great, and others just didn't make it. Looking forward to chatting with all of you.

Hi there Heidi--glad to have you onboard with us all--welcome.... wavey

My brother lives up in Lansing Michigan--I've been up that way to visit him several times.

Any questions you have, ask away and we'll all try to help you out with some answers.....it's exciting when you get into a new house and can landscape however you want.... thumbup This is my 3rd year now in our house and it was great to start with an empty yard and be able to fill it in with things I luv love......

Hello Heidi,
I'm new here too. wavey
Michigan is one of my favorite places. My DH and I did a bicycle trip last September from Holland to Mackinaw City and we're doing the UP on bikes this year. There's no place I'd rather take a vacation!

Hi Heidi... wink
Michigan is way up high on my list of friendliest people.

What zone are you in? We're in zone 3. I was surprised to see how many things I can grow here.
We also bought a new house last year. At least 2 acres are a hay field--much of it is mud now-- & the rest is woods. It is going to be a real challenge to landscape. I want to put in a veggie garden & a Butterfly Garden. wavey
