Nope, nothing wrong with that at all!!

I love the outter space, and planets,
and the stars, and other galaxies,
and just the uncomprehendsable idea of
what's out there and how it all got started!!
It's just unfathomable if you really
start to think about it. teech
We love luv to look at the stars......
the oldest is always trying to find the big dipper and the Milky Way.
I would love for Santa to bring one of those
big telescopes for the boys for Christmas.
Santa's broke though...hehehe!!!
Maybe Grampa!!!

When I was a kid, my best friend and I used to sit on the dock (of this little lake in Michigan) and look up at the night sky and wonder about what it is that is really up there. Like: what if all those stars are just little holes punched in a black globe for some-one (-thing) to look down at us. Or we would just ponder the smallness of our lives in the great big amazing universe. It really puts things in a different perspective when we look up at the night sky. wink

I love looking at the stars through my telescope! My mom bought me a telescope *at walmart, but its still pretty good!* and i love looking at the moon, and saturn ^.^ I donno why i look at saturn all the time. Most of the time its on accident, cuz its a bright star that goes "look at me!" lol. Its kinda odd to look at though, cuz its not in color o.O Its in a weird shade of blue grey... but i'm colorblind, so that could explain it smile

But ya, the moon is so cool to look at! Even during a new moon, i can see it smile I love watching the shadow creep across the moon's surface! You can see it if you look long enough. I can't seem to find the station though. Oh wellz ^.^ i'm sure its there somewhere lol.

Any one see that they've sent up a thing
to crash into a comet to see what it's all
made up of and if they can tell how "IT" all
got started???

And the European space thing, sent up and finally landed a ship/probe on Saturn's moon, Titan???
Anyone following that one??

Weezie!Ya need to load the kids for a road trip.i live in the country. It gets dark.lemme tell ya.ya WANT to know where ya at in a power outage....cause ya won't see squat.its worth paying $7.89 for my street light in the boonys(though wish at times it had a breaker)

I watch science channel alot(ain't notheing on???thats a good place to flip)
http://science.discovery.com/convergence/cassini/cassini.html

I watched fireballs from space yesterday& savage sun.You need to watch fireballs from space.A solor flare hit earths atmosphere in 2000& they have learned now some of the damage and what it means. They'll show it again sometime in future.

http://science.discovery.com/schedule/weekly.jsp?channel=SCI

Sunday.I learned there are LAND SLIDES that cause Tsuamis.they showed a re inactment of one caused by 91 million tons of a landslide in an inlet.it went over 300 miles inland.

I also watch NASA channel.their video files got all kinds of goodies.Like the thinngy that went up but crashed cause parachute didn't deploy.it was getting readings from solar output from the sun over a 2 yr study.I watch the guys up in ISS(I miss Mike Finke already) But they are setting the camera up thats for school stuff.so next week can click that part of NASA stuff& schools will have all new stuff starting. They mentioned 2.Ones an area of mountains in Itlay& another is somewhere that just set new limits on pollution.

I've followed BEAGLE2 a British Space launch.it failed& so far still not recovered.

I do wish had one of them telescopes.my neighbor does.i'll have to twist his arm next time.i got some kewl pics...2 of them...of the full moon riseing this month, nice clouds scootin across.i missed the red moon.camera was full, but have plans for that 258MB card.$40.will make me happy 8MB don't cut.I'v moved the shots to a 3.1 shot so can get more than 5 pics.

Here's the lastest news on titian
http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/cassini/whycassini/16jan_titan.html

Here's the commet update
http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/deepimpact/main/index.html

And looky here grinnnn Discovery will go back up in may-June .
April flight is up in the air.
http://www.nasa.gov/news/highlights/returntoflight.html
And.....I use to play yahoo games.Eucker& I've had Alan Sheapards wife as my partner quiet a few times.we won alot a good games together.I haven't played over there in4 years probably.

I also get "sky& telescope newsletter"
(you wanna sign up for that one weezie, you can print the sky charts monthly)
http://skyandtelescope.com/observing/objects/moon/article_723_1.asp I love this site cool

I could sit here and hit bookmarks all day...At times I wouldn't mind sending my hubby to the moon.shoot.he'd have 3 golf balls.should keep him intertained, bring club& he'd be fine. laugh

I watched a storm move across surface of Mars in 2001 was at lake lot lake neighbor got her kids a telescope for christmas, but was too many lights in Dallas.we had fire...we had marshmellows was in the 20s.It made my binoculars look like crap, lol.I have good veiw of Eclipses.the last one was awesome.i walked over to lake and it came up over lake and could see its reflection in the water in the sky...was so mad camera card reader broke, but new camera would have got a good shot....maybe next time.

Maxi has always been seriously into the stars and planets. When he was 3, he knew the names of the planets in our system before he knew the alphabet, which drove his speech therapist crazy!

When he was 5, I took him to a special sea-faring event in which antique "Tall Ships" (with elaborate sails) came to Maine. We toured the ships docked at Portland Harbor, including the Coast Guard cutter that was also there. While on board the Cutter, he struck up a conversation with the Purser as they sat together on a bench. since he was dressed in his sailor suit, complete with hat, she asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up?

He said "I will sail the high seas or I will sail the stars because I be a sailor man!"

His collection of space related stuff, including several telescopes, is pretty amazing.

Here's a kewl space article

http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/space/02/08/mini.solar.systems/index.html
a pint sized soloar system.

And here's article on sunstorm.I watched a special last month on sunstorms was 2 shows on discovery, not much in archive, but this article covers some of one of the shows.they have a group doing research they presented a 3 yr study& showed pics from some of what was mentioned from SOHO and something else. There is a flw suncam flw Thats updated every 12 minutes and runs 24 hrs.Their is also a study useing tree rings to support sunspot activity back 8000 yrs and we are currently in a long period of sun spot activity.

http://dsc.discovery.com/news/afp/20041213/sunstorm.html

oh.....and the whitehouse decided to eliminate funding for repairs to hubble. They still have not set a date for dismantleing parts& letting the rest be added to the "space garbage"to burn up in atmosphere. The funding was for 2006 so guess this years funding pays for dismantleing :p
