Gosh, reading all these posts had me rolling on the floor laughing so hard. Here I thought I was the worst pronouncer of unfamiliar words on the planet! For I've been known to say "superlative" as "super-lay-tive"! And once, had a dispute for several years with a close friend as to the correct way to say "assuage". As it turns out, we were BOTH wrong!
But what has always saved me for
plant talk is that my older sister Ro studied horticulture in college and was a florist for many years. That girl can talk a blue streak when it comes to
plants and
plant parts.
I still like the Word-A-Day guide idea, though. Let's get started with it so we at least can SOUND like we know what we are talking about!!!
