Well I have not been abducted by Martians or anything like that, just busy, busy, busy. My almost 18 year old son and I are almost done with the fire Academy here as volunteers. Somehow I ended up doing review sessions with the class (some told them I teach school). They also have been training me as a driver in two trucks so far. Summer school is two volunteer days a week in the mornings at the private school I teach at. Doing repair "catch up" work with my son at the two stations we respond to in our spare time, and still trying to spend time with my 14 year old daughter and "date" time with my wife fill the rest of the day real regular. If I have a weekend open and the cars are operational, we try to get up to see Barleychown. She has a new dog (Great Dane) that I have not been up to see yet. This weekend is the Graduation from the Fire Academy for those that pass the tests. It is also the 18th birthday for Nick. parte
Most of my plants are still growing, except for the ones the goats (pets) and the steer (food) ate last week. <img border="0" alt="[tongue]" title="" src="graemlins/tongue.gif" />

I wonder who told them????????

Wow, you sound BUSY!!
That's alot to do!!!
But it's better to have a full plate than
hardly anything to do, you get into too much
trouble that way!!!

Well, I gotta ask, How's the new Gunnera doing?
Is this one still living???
I was actually thinking of you and/or the gunnera yesterday, when I got this catalog in the mail,
FarmTek
It has greenhouses and commercial hoop house's and it had one where they were growing plants in the ground and it said to extend the growing season, and I thought to myself, That would be ideal for growing a gunnera HERE grinnnn
Wishhhhhhhh I could!!!

Weezie

P/S Thanks for the update.....
How's the tractor rebuilding doing??? Any??

Life has to busy or I get in trouble. thumbup
Did a review tonight for tomorrow's test. The training officer came in after his Board meeting finished and helped finish the review.
We just fought a 210 acre fire here last week and I'm still scratching the Poison Oak in a few spots. frown Nick went with a Brush Engine on that fire and learned a lot. We drove around the fire devastated places this week and are amazed at how much got destroyed how fast. The fire burned right at the edge of town and I do mean at the edge. It burned within a few feet of several homes in many neighborhoods. All in a matter of a few hours. shk
